                                    Regarding Implementation in the State of the Central Government Sponsored Walmiki-Ambedkar Awas Yojna

                        Clarification regarding Criteria of Eligibility

GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION:-

            Under above referred Government Resolution, executive orders were issued regarding implementation of Walmiki-Ambedkar Awas Yojna. It contains the following provisions regarding eligibility of the beneficiaries:-

            “The slum dwellers from Below Poverty Line and Economically Weaker Section, whose names are included in the Voters’ List dated 01.01.1995 and who are residing in the same place, should be extended the benefits of this Scheme.”

            2. In case of persons residing in the house constructed on their own land, a point regarding eligibility of the beneficiaries was raised, as to whether 01.01.1995 as the date of eligibility would be applicable to them and after a comprehensive deliberation of the matter, the Government has concluded that in such cases, 01.01.1995 should not be the date for the fixation of eligibility.

            3. Hence, the Government hereby issues a Revised Clarificatory Order to the following effect:-

            “If a family from Below Poverty Line and Economically Weaker Section is residing in a slum constructed on the self-owned land and the names of persons from such family are included in the Voters’ List of any year, then such persons should be extended benefits of Walmiki-Ambedkar Awas Yojna.”
