Preface:-

If agricultural crops and orchards in the state are damaged by wild animals, such as wild boars, deer (Sarang and Kurang), wild bisons, Rohi (Blue Bull –Nilgai), monkeys, gibbons, as well as wild elephants, then compensation amount is paid to the concerned persons as per the provisions of the Government Resolution Dated 02.07.2010, Dated 05.09.2013, Dated 25.11.2013 and Dated 09.07.2015.  As per these Government Resolutions, compensation amount is paid for the loss of coconut, betel nut, graft mango, bananas and other fruit trees. However, these Government Resolutions did not separately provide for the fruit trees, such as orange and sweet lime. Orange and sweet lime fruit trees in Vidarbha have been sustaining extensive damage due to wild animals. However, as the compensation paid for other fruit trees is inadequate for orange and sweet lime, the Government in view of the adverse public sentiments about the existence of the wild animals has decided to increase the said amount. Accordingly, the Government has resolved as hereunder:-

Government Resolution:-

If orange and sweet lime orchards in the State suffer damage by wild boars, deer (Sarang and Kurang), wild bisons, Rohi (Blue Bull –NilgIai), monkeys, gibbons, as well as wild elephants, then compensation as described hereunder should be awarded.
