Preface:-
For undertaking Cluster Redevelopment of the old and dilapidated cessed and non-cessed buildings comprised in the Kamathipura area of South Mumbai through the MHADA under Development Control Regulation 33(9), a Government Resolution Dt. 12.01.2023 came to be issued by the Department of Housing. A High Power Committee presided over by the Additional Chief Secretary (Department of Housing) was constituted to accord sanctions for the various matters required in the implementation of the said project. A meeting of this Committee was convened on 06.03.2024. Pursuant to the sanctions accorded by the High Power Committee in furtherance of the demand raised by the Kamathipura Development Committee in the said meeting, vis-à-vis compensation to be paid to the land owners in the Kamathipura area, in the form of 1 flat of 500 Sq. Feet area in lieu of plot admeasuring 50 Sq. Mt, 2 flats of 500 Sq. Feet area in lieu of a plot having area between 51 Sq. Mt. and 100 Sq. Mt, 3 flats of 500 Sq. Feet area in lieu of a plot having area between 101 Sq. Mt and 150 Sq. Mt, 4 flats of 500 Sq. Feet area in lieu of a plot having area between 151 Sq. Mt and 200 Sq. Mt. and an additional flat of 500 Sq. Feet area for each 50 Sq. Mt plot area over and above, the Government contemplated the matter of issuing a Government Resolution, in that regard.
Government Resolution:-
On the proposal mooted by the MHADA and as per the demand raised by the Kamathipura Development Committee, vis-à-vis the compensation to be paid to the land owners in the Cluster Redevelopment of old and dilapidated cessed and non-cessed buildings and plots comprised in the Kamathipura area of South Mumbai and in furtherance of the sanction granted by the High Power Committee in its Meeting Dt.06.03.2024, it has been resolved to pay compensation to the land owners in the Kamathipura area, as set out herein below:-
