Preface:-
Under the above referred Government Resolutions, it was resolved to carry out survey of hut holders and issue Identity Cards to the eligible slum dwellers and now the work of allotting Identity Cards to the eligible hut holders is in the final stage. However, during the course of review of the field officers’ work, the filed officers raised certain points regarding the Transfer Fees to be recovered as set out in Paragraph 9 of the said Government Resolution. In furtherance thereof, it has been resolved, vis-à-vis the Transfer Fees, as set out hereunder:-
Government Resolution:-
If the eligible huts standing on government lands in Greater Mumbai are already transferred prior to the date 01.01.1995, the District Collector, Mumbai City/District Collector, Mumbai Suburban District should sanction such transfer and recover Transfer Fees from the slum dweller. The Transfer Fees from the slum dwellers on the lands of Municipal Corporation for Greater Mumbai and the MHADA, should be recovered by the Municipal Corporation and MHADA respectively and they shall retain the amount of Transfer Fees. In 60 cities other than Greater Mumbai, the Bodies having the ownership of lands should sanction such transfer and recover the Transfer Fees.
Notwithstanding the fact that an eligible hut is transferred several time prior to 1st January, 1995, such transfer should be treated as the one time transfer and Transfer Fees should be recovered for only one time transfer.
Transfer Fees should be recovered as set out herein below:-
